Hi All,
Need HELP urgently......
I am new to SME and had installed SME 6.0 (Server and Gateway). My ISP had blocked port 80 and I would like to install a webserver for homeuse using port 10080. I had installed dmc-mitel-portopening-0.0.1-4.noarch.rpm to open the port 10080. However, When I used LANGuard to scan the port, I realised there wasnt any 10080 port open...
Pls assist me...Thanks alot

I had searched thru the forum regarding opening port however, Non of the guide worked..

The port forwarding option in the server manager should take care of this.

No Good...It still show port 10080 not available...
I dont need to forward port cos the webserver will be install at the same SME 6.0 (server and gateway)... What I need to open port 10080 and when do a LANGuard scan. It will show that port 10080 is open..
Thanks

why don't you tell apache to listen to another port?
then the port is opened automatically.
search the forum for "apache port"...

Had downloaded the files httpd10080 but the port is still closed that why I try to resort to other method to open the 10080 port....Thanks

Just as a matter of interest I use the port opening rpm to access port 2317. It does not show as being open when I scan but I can definately access the site that uses that port from outside the local network.
Have you tried accessing anything through port 10080?

possible the LANGuard checks only the standard-ports.
maybe you can tell it to scan more ports?
