Title: IRC - Internet Relayed Chat
Post by: Peter Hollandare on August 01, 2001, 09:51:20 PM
Ok folks, i have been on irc for the past 10 years, and i have now with a cpl of friends also devoted to E-Smith and Linux, started a channel called #e-smith.

We can be found on EFNET (Eris Free Network), where we gather and speak in realtime. We share our interests, thoughts, and try to help others if they get stuck on something related to E-Smith/Linux.

To use IRC, you can download *mIRC (www.mirc.com) or BitchX (www.bitchx.com) where these programs are used to communicate over IRC.

Feel free to pay us a visit, ask questions, come with solutions..etc etc.

* when joining a server on EFNET, just type /join #e-smith and you find us.

Hiya Sidney

I asume you are from the states, in that case you can use the predefined "US Efnet" servers in mIRC. If you are not using mirc, these servers can be used :

1. irc.east.gblx.net
2. irc.homelien.no
3. irc.mcs.net
