I have been running ASSP version 1.06 on a SME 5.6U6 server
without problems for almost 5 months. However, lately I
have noticed that the ASSP service is stopping at the same
hour 5AM aprox. For this reason I am attaching part
of my log, to see if any of you are common with this issue.
As you can see it seems that ASSP is unsuccessfully restarted,
however I can start ASSP by hand, later, 1 hour later for instance.
Hope someone can help me.
Thanks in advance

Email me offlist and I'll give you the scoop on what's going on with ASSP.

Greg, please e-mail me the scoop on ASSP also. I've been using it since version 1.05. I had the same problems with it stopping randomly, but that seems mostly cured in version 1.09.
I'm using it successfully now, but would be very interested if you know something that would cause me to seek an alternative anti-spam tool.

Kevin,
I have also read that an upgrade should fix the issue,
however before doing so wanted to know if it safe to upgrade and how to go back if the upgrade doesn´t work
BTW the stop of the ASSP service is not random in my case :) it occurs everyday at 5AM after ASSP executes a certain process...
Regards
Alejandro

I started with 1.06, using installation instructions for 1.03. I upgraded from 1.06, to 1.08 (which did not fix the issue) to 1.09 (which seemed to). The upgrade seemed fairly "safe". It just involved copying some files. You should back up your current files first, just in case.

Why not post the fix online? If it's a contrib from contribs.org then shouldn't the fix be important to all? I have the current 1.0.9 version and I'm getting the same error as above randomly.
