Est-ce possible de mettre une SME 6.0 avec un domaine Windows 2000 (active directory) ?

Si tu veux savoir si on peut les brancher sur le même réseau : la réponse est OUI :-)

Si tu veux aller plus loin dans l'intégration (i.e. utiliser la base de compte de Windows 2000 pour gérer les droits sur SME), çà dépend, mais c'est pas gagné.

SAMBA en standard sait faire çà : faire l'authentification en fonction d'un contrôleur de domaine Microsoft (En NT4, ou Windows 2000 en mode 'compatible' çà marche, en mode natif avec les restrictions de sécurité, je sais pas)
Mais à la sauce SME, il va certainement faloir adapter.

ok.... here we go :-o

If I understand correctly the question is about Active direcory and SME server. Well Samba 3+ supports active directory while SME Server 6.0.1-01 still comes with samba prior to samba 3 (e.g. 2.8).

If there is enough demand we maybe should look in to this.

In fact, we don't know exactly what snoopysky want to do.

I asked hin if he need a central autentication repository, but no answer at this time.

Je sais qu'il est possible de le mettre SERVER MEMBER mais est-il possible de le mettre BACKUP DOMAINE ??? Thats my question !

Salut,

SME 6.0.1 = Samba 2.x
Samba 2.x = Seulement serveur Membre.

Il faut passer en SAMBA 3 pour pouvoir être DC
(Et il me semble qu'il y a des restrictions, à étudier).
