Title: Ghostscript / Hylafax Problem
Post by: Bill Coghill on August 07, 2001, 12:17:37 PM
I installed HylaFax as per the how-to and it seems to run OK.  When trying to send a fax from a Win PC using Cypheus I get the following error returned in the job status window :

STATUS: %%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: ?, ]%%\
AFPL Ghostscript 6.50: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1\
/bin/cat: write error: Broken pipe\

This would point to the hylafax not being able to find / or Ghostscript not being able to handle the .ps file.

Anyone any ideas ?

Bill

Having looked into it in the cold light of day, I discovered that if I set it to print in Postscript set to optimized for portablilty (as opposed to optimized for speed) I can get it to work OK.

Only problem is that now the Cypheus software sits waiting for the modem to reset, but I think this is due to having the wrong AT codes for the modem.

Other than that its looking good !!!!

Bill.
