Title: FTP
Post by: ltwt on March 27, 2004, 02:29:52 PM
Hiya

I'd like to allow people, either anonymouse or with user/password to log into the server via FTP.

Where is it hidden :) ??

I've had a look over the manual but can't seem to spot it.

TIA

Title: ftp directory location

Hello

the base folder is

/home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/files

note the P is a cap in Primary

you must set the allow ftp access in server manager
the just test it by using

ftp://your-server-ip-address should be nothing in the
directory by default or if it has been set with a valid domain name you can use
ftp://ftp.your-domain.com

hope this helps

Hi

If you wanted the ftp to point to another ibay other than primary what would you do to set that up?

Or alternativly how do you set the user/passwords and control who can log in?

Thanks for your help... I'm nearly there with it...

Eventually it will be working. Even better if I can put some time into it :)
