Title: Development System
Post by: kmccarn on March 28, 2004, 04:02:34 PM
OK - the continuing saga of spam deletion.

I have maildrop and am preparing to install - but to build the rpm I need several packages that are apparently difficult to find.

So - I am thinking of setting up a devel box.

I have the RH 7.3 CD's and a spare 566 - hopfully I can get the kernel stuff for the current 2.4.20-18.7 - but I 'm not sure I will need them if I get the default kernel (not sure which version) 7.3 installs.

Any sage advice before I attempt this ??

thanks in advance.

You can install SME (the same version as target platform) and add DEV-tools for it. They are available for most of the versions.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

If I get the maildrop rpm built (and functional) - I'll pass it on.
