Has anyone tried to port over the old firewall (masq) that used ipchains? The iptables firewall does not work the same in regards to VPN. I am trying to set up a server that uses radius and will allow me to vpn in to be on the local network and allow me to setup users hardware, ie. routers, wireless bridges, etc. It works on 5.5 with all the updates, but 5.5 does not do ethernet bridging (2.2 kernel), which I also need to do in the same box. Any ideas?
Thanks for any suggestions.

OK, nobody flame me! I just remembered that the modules used in the masq were written only for the 2.2 kernel.
Does anyone know why the iptables VPN works so differently compared to the ipchains vpn. I understand that it has to do with the modules, but if they should be doing the same thing, why don't they?
Probably better to ask where do neutrons come from :)
Any suggestions appreciated.
