Title: phpmyadmin -> Wrong username/password. Access denied
Post by: safeldt on April 02, 2004, 09:26:33 AM
Will one of the experts in the forum please help a MySql newbie out?

1) I have installed

e-smith-phpmyadmin-2.5.6-3.noarch.rpm
rpm -Uvh *.rpm

on my SME 6000

2) Logon local network

https://192.168.1.2/sqladmin/

3) I’ll get the logon window

Site: 192.168.1.2
Realm: phpmyadmin running on local host
User: admin
Password: "theadminpassword"

4) After 3 attempts

Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.5.6
Wrong username/password. Access denied

Best Regards
Uffe

You would usually use

https://your domain.com/phpmyadmin

enter admin and admin password.

The server is on our LAN

It should work with the ip address.

You are quite correct it will work using the I.P.

I was suggesting that you try using phpmyadmin instead of sqladmin.

https://192.168.1.2/phpmyadmin

This has always worked for me.
