Ok, Contribs.org has 6.0.1-01 as its latest release. The mirror sites simply have 6.0. :-o Is 6.0.1-01 beta? If I wanted to update to the MOST STABLE release, what would it be?
Thanks

6.0.1-01 is an update and first release for contribs which was 6.0mitel.
6.0.1-01 is stable and not beta, it has later security updates, I would choose this one :-)

What is this for? Is it a security thing? Is it necessary?

See

for information, look at the link to bug reports for details
It seems to be important, but I'm not sure if it is a security related matter, doesn't look to be.
Can anyone else give more details ?
I think the whole update scenario could do with some more details/information being published about policy and announcements etc, please (of course).
