Title: Ibay Quota management
Post by: Der on April 16, 2004, 01:17:55 PM
Since I have posted this in the general section figuring one already existed.  But to no avail.  We need to come up with a way to put a quota on IBAYS

Quota in ibays ?
Wellll - if users are to put files in ibays, they have to be registered, right ?
I mean, seeing that you don't want just anybody (anonymous) to access and fill up your ibays, right ?
OK then, why not use the Quota panel for users sitting right there in the server-manager ?

You can only put quotes per user per volume (partition).
Ibay doesn't own any files and quota per ibay cannot be applied.
SME use single volume file structure. To achieve your requirements you need to have each ibay on the different partition with USERs have different quotas on each partition. Sounds like a lot of work to me with very little benefits.

Basically and I know it can be done I want a tool that will allow me to set the maximum folder size of each ibay's main folder and once it hits say 110% of its set max size the it wont let you save anything to it.

And this is a suggestion since this tool apparently does not exist
