Title: Squidguard install causing errors in squidproperties contrib
Post by: briank on April 17, 2004, 08:34:37 PM
Hi - just installed squidguard 3.2 on 5.5 server that had squidproperties contrib installed. Now getting error messages
"squid.conf line 49: always_direct allow all_direct"
"aclParseAccessLine: ACL name 'all_direct' not found."
"squid.conf line 49: always_direct allow all_direct"
"aclParseAccessLine: Access line contains no ACL's, skipping"

I am sure I have had these two contribs working together before. The squid properties custom template fragments are still there. Where do I start looking?
Regards
Brian

The best thing to do is up-grade to 6.0.1-01. 5.5 is long out of date and insecure.

Thankyou bob - I am aware of that and run 6.01-01 at a number of sites but have good reasons for keeping this one at 5.5 for the time being.

In that case.

After installing squidguard 3.2 did you do:
# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade
# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot

or at least

# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/squid/squid.conf
# service squid restart
