Title: Has ANYONE figured out the black screen?
Post by: PBCS version 6 on April 19, 2004, 09:39:40 PM
Please let me know if you can help me out.

I have tried a few times now to get a newer version of PBCS to work with an E-Smith (Both versions 5.6 and 6.0)

So, if someone has PBCS version 6 or better running on an e-smith box 5.6 or better, please let me know how.  ( http://www.pbcs.org/index.php  )

I can get the old version (non PEAR) working, and Using the installer, I have a "flawless" install but when I access the page, its just blank?

There are lots of folks with this problem, and a couple of fixes that I guess works for some folks, but seems there is a general fear of solving this problem for e-smiths because a wide search draws nothing.

Thanks,
ATM Logic

What is PBCS?

If this is a webapp for a website, make sure the problem is not your monitor. Serious. I had a bad monitor and when I visited certain sites that had green as the main colour, all I seen was black. I thought it was the site for a long time untill I just happened to go to the site using an older computer and seen the actual site.

Upon changing the monitor, I was able to surf the site. So check that out if you have a spare monitor.

Just a suggenstion, though this may not be your prob,
because I have no idea what PBCS is.
