Title: How can I go take my emails?
Post by: big_gie on April 20, 2004, 02:31:28 AM
Hi,
I've set up a mail server on my computer with SME. Working great :)

But, my ISP blocks port 25, so I cannot receive any mails to user@mydomain.com. One alternative is that the mail would be on a pop3 account.

Can I configure the server to go look for those emails, once in 10 minutes for exemple? How can I do this?

Or, if anyone knows a workaround so I could receive mail on my computer, free if possible...

Thank you very much.

also, ask your isp whether there is a mail relay-server

that way port 25 can be blocked and you can still use your own mailserver.
