Title: backup to dvd

Hi,

I'm using sme 6.0, is there a way to backup my data to my DVD-writer inside my sme box.

I asked this a long while back and there were a couple of folks who were working on options. look at this post: or search the forums for "dvd"

There is no solid solution yet. I am using a combination of the older cdtools and mkisofs, but am looking forward to someone getting this updated.[/url]

Can you post your scripts (if you have) ?

What version of cdtools and mkisofs do you have installed? I have installed cdrecord and mkisofs from rh 7.3 but I don't now if that version can write dvds or I have to use cdrecord-prodvd.

Another option might be growisofs (http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/) which I have used successfully on non-SME Fedora Core 1 systems.  I haven't yet tried it under SME...
