Title: how do you install motherboard drivers with sme running?

I have installed sme ver 6 on a pentium 4 board and ECS 648FX-A my query is how do I install onto the server any upgrades for motherboard drivers etc. Being a linux beginner I am totally unsure how to access drivers from the cd and install them. Is it necessary? and if so can anyone suggest a helpful website for instructions or talk me thru it?
