Hi there,
i tried installing SME 6.x (current release) through a network.
Using the howto i have found at http://www.thebennetthome.com/sme/howto/Network%20HTTP%20installation%20howto.htm
I have no floppy drive avail (it is a rented server with only access through as remote serial console)
The install starts (with no ks.cfg, also if i did a ks=http://... in syslinux.cfg as mentioned) but hangs after teh message "running anaconda". Then i get an error:
Traceback (innermost last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 634, in ?
intf.run(id, dispatch, configFileData)
File "/var/tmp/anaconda-7.3//usr/lib/anaconda/text.py", line 412, in run

(Pdb) ?
I only found an old message in the e-smith archives wichtodl me it is an anaconda problem .. but this message is from 2002.
Anyone who can point me to the right direction?
best regards from South Germany

Thats' my howto. I don't know why your install is failing. I ran through the steps again and the install worked fine for me.
How did you edit your files? You didn't use a dos-based editor did you? If so, try to re-edit the files with a unix-based editor. I use crimson tide.
