Title: testInternet.pl
Post by: nigeltodd on May 11, 2004, 10:39:05 AM
OK - I have ascertained that all SME did was remove it from the console menu,, and changed way menu is created. They appear now to load the menu from a subroutine in the console script, which looks in a subdirectory, and loads items according to the files it finds. I have created testInternet.pl, (modified from one of the othe rmenu item .pl's)and it runs, but is in a continuous loop. If you lok at console, the testInternet subroutine contains the code and the reference to the Mitel Netwroks server. console is in /sbin/e-smith, the menu items are in /sbin/e-smith/console-menu-items. I hope someone can figure out the scripting to bring it back again! I can email the testInternet.pl i have created if anyone is keen to have a go, nut it is a hash of the support.pl script.

I am using the 6.01-1 Custom Iso. I would be interested to see the console script, and also the testInternet.pl script, from /sbin/e-smith & /sbin/e-smith/console-menu-items respectively.

Hoping you can help!

Thansk,
