I have at my room
1 Windows 2003 DC/dhcp/dns
1 Windows 2000 Norton Antivirus svr
1 Linux SME 6.0 Webserver/Fileserver/Mailserver
and about 4 Windows xp clients
Anyway i have 1 pc spare.
its a P2 MMX with 96 RAM
i wanna use it as server also.
Anyone good idea's for a second linux svr?

linux file storage for backups

i supose i dont make a normal file server

Probably be over-kill, but I woud just set it up in server-only mode, then set up rsynch to run between the two servers.

You did not mentioned that you have a firewall. That spare PC would be good candidate for firewall only box.

Still think that linux firewalls are much much better then a build in firewall in the e-tech router

Then install IPCop or similar firewall on that spare PC. If nothing else, at least good education process.
