Has anyone had any experience with large scale SME installations ?  We are looking at starting a non -profit community ISP and SME looks like it would be ideal for the mail server/s.  Can anyone advise on the capability of the system to handle up to say 5000 mailboxes on a 5Mbit connection.

configuring accounts via server-manager interface will be very slow. You'd better use lazy admin tools for it. Handling e-mail itself should not be a problem.
