Title: Opening Ports!!!!
Post by: Dean on August 24, 2001, 11:09:18 AM
Hi,

This question seems to have been asked a few times in different forms.

How do I open a port????

I have been trawling through the literature and have found the information on templates etc, but not how to edit them or what to put in there...

Please help..

I just want to open port 81..  =(

Cheers,
Dean..

When you say open.. do you want to forward to another comp or simply open? I'm guessing you want a (second) webserver at port81?

No ports are 'closed' like that.. you simply need a service/reason/forwarding or whatever  you see fit.. If you want a webserver on port81, simply find the templates over the Apache conf. and change the listening port

(If I'm wrong about this, I'm sure more knowledgeable people will point you all in the right direction... :).. )
