Title: Howto FTP thru' e-Smith ?
Post by: Graham on August 24, 2001, 03:26:48 PM
HI,

I was wondering if you could help ?

I need to upload some pages using WSFTP Pro.

Now I have e-Smith for my Server/Gateway I get
all sorts of errors msgs and cant connect.

Question is: how do I set up the proxy details
for FTPing to external sites ?

Thanks !

Hi Graham,

What i understand is that you are trying FTP from inside network to a server outside your own network.

This works for me. However...you probably must select Passive Transfers (PASV) in your Client (WSFtp).

Then it should work fine.

If it still doesn´t work, try another FTP-client (CuteFTP maybe). I´ve tried both of them.
