Title: Shared Email Folders
Post by: phowardcom on May 21, 2004, 06:01:24 PM
Is it possible for 2 or more users to open up a mailbox and share the emails without problems?

I have opened up the same mailbox on 2 machines before using IMAP but when I delete an email it doesnt get deleted from the 2nd users view of the mailbox and when one of the users logs out it obviously makes all the changes (deletions etc) to the main mailbox which then overwrites all the changes done on the 2nd users copy of the maibox.

Not sure if that makes any sense but has anyone succesfully got multiple users using the mailserver correctly?

thanks

What are you using to access the Mailbox? Horde?
If so, you may need to refresh the display within Horde before the deleted mail is updated.

I was using Opera on one machine and Evolution on the other but I dont think it really matters as pretty much all IMAP clients handle email the same way dont they?
