Title: SME Server reboots when I try to acces SMB shares
Post by: jakehowl on May 24, 2004, 01:45:52 PM
Hi All,

I've been using SME Server quite happily for a year or so now. However, withint the past month or so I'm having serious problems. If I access shared directories on the server via Windows and Samba shares the server reboots. It used to happen only occasionally. Now though it happens after trying to read only one or two files. Typically these are 2MB photo/image files.

My Linux knowledge is average and good enough to have got as far as having an SME Server setup and sharing files. But please go easy on me with any sugesstions. That's to say, keep them simple.

Have I got some corrupt files do you think? How do I check and repair?

Jake
