I have set up an SME server as my internet gateway and all is running fine.
I have specified an internal mail server so all emails get forwarded to my exchange server.
How do I get ports 143 and 110 forwarded too?
If i add a forwarding rule the ports become innacessable and if i dont have a forwarding rule then i pick up the SME server and not the internal exchaneg server.
any ideas?
thanks

You can not use the same port on the same IP by defenition. You you use port forward to exchange server, you have to stop those services on SME itself. The only alternative is to use separate IP (not supported by SME) or different port number for either of the servers.

stopping the services osunds like a plan. now how do i do that? :)

Install services panel contrib or manualy from command line:
/sbin/e-smith/db config setprop servicename status disabled

I have done a search for the services panel but cannot find what you are talking about. Do you have a link to the page with the contrib on it?
many thanks

you can download it from http://www.myezserver.com however after a successful install and stopping the imap & pop3 services, i'm also not able to access the ports using telnet public-host-ip-address 110 or 143.

This is a stupid question...
It's been a couple years since I've worked on a linux box, how do I install this RPM?
Thanks!
