Title: how to interrupt boot sequence
Post by: hanscees on June 20, 2004, 03:02:24 PM
Hi,

I cloned my esmith to another hardware.
It boots fine until the sysmon plugin and then does nothing.

Is there I way I can interrupt the boot sequence.
Alt-F2 does not work and I need to configure the server so sysmon won't start up and so on.
My new hardware has no floppy-disk.

greetings

Ctrl X at the boot graphic
Tab for kernel list

Type the EXACT name of the kernel you want to use followed by a space and the word single; press enter.

You are now booted into single user maintenance mode.

Do what you have to do and then type:

sync
exit

System will now reboot
