Is there any way to tell if all my hard drives are working?
I have three identical SCSI drives. All are 2 GB.
What kind of installation should i choose to make all the drives working and i can download data ro them?
Raid-1 hardware mirroring or Raid-2 Software mirroring.
Once I tried to install raid-2 to a computer what had 500 MB and 800 MB IDE drives and the box told me that program terminated abnormally. So i had to continnue with Raid-1 hardware mirroring.
Is there a way to shere the CD so I can install programs from the servers CD-Rom drive. My own drive rejects some CD-s so this information is very important to me.
I have E-smnith 4.1.1
Thank You for Your Help

If you have a supported SCSI RAID controller, and have set up some sort of array (probably a RAID 5) with all three drives, e-smith will treat them as a single drive, and you'll need to use whatever maintenance utility came with the RAID controller to determine what drives are in use. If you don't have such a controller, e-smith will allow you to create a software RAID 1 (mirrored) array with two of the drives, but the third would not be used.
