Title: New to linux

Im new to linux and want to install SME on the server for my new network.
Can SME Server be a PDC for a windows domain?
Can it also be a file server?
Sorry for the noob Qs....but Im a noob  :-D

Yes it can.  

I am currently using it as a Server and Gateway for my network.  All of the workstations are Windows and the server is working primarily as a File server.

Info on this site is sometimes a little difficult to find. Look here for some Features and Benefits (http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/Features%20and%20Benefits). Then try using the "Search" feature.
