Title: Installing squidguard
Post by: edp773 on June 23, 2004, 09:27:38 PM
I have downloaded sguidguard several times. When I try to extract the file (tar -xzf squidguard3.2.tar.gz) I get a no file or directory error. After downloading, I show squidguard3.2.tar.gz saved [3560286/3560286]. Any suggestions on how to find the file or correct the problem!!

All three downloads are listed under dir in root. I cannot cd to squidguard. Maybe this extra info will help.  Thanks,  Ed

Hi - works for me. I even tried untarring it from the root dir in case this was the problem and played with permissions but it untarred perfectly each time. It creates a subdir called sg3 in which you will find the install to run. I can only think that your d/l is corrupt. I had to have 3 goes recently to get an error free 6.01 iso.
Good luck
