:-D
There is an interesting PHP based application which enables FTP access using browser, particularly good for where there are Ports 21/others blocked by company router/firewall. It works great (www.net2ftp.com), but is limited in filesize and number of files. One option to circumvent this is to install net2ftp on one's own server. I would like to install net2ftp on my SME server. I am not much of a programmer, so would need every step. Has anyone tried that yet? Thanks, newbie

hey there,
I've recently seen an ftp client/file manager in the 'my account' section of a Horde 3 installation at a school. I'm guessing that its the Gollem module for Horde.
Did you get any further with net2ftp? it looks like it would do the job a treat if it can be easily installed on SME and tied into the horde/webmail authentication. What about phpWebFTP?
Has anyone got an RPM or a howto for Gollem on the current horde 3 scripted install?

Cheers,
David.

I've got net2ftp (0.82) running on my SME server and it works like a treat. Simply follow the installation instructions included with net2ftp and you should manage.
Still problems, let me know...

Is your installation linked into Horde - or is it standalone with its own login page etc.?

My installation is installed standalone, so indeed its own login page. But that's good enough for me (and a few people who maintain their website on my server).
