Title: Clam Scan Found Infections
Post by: Olsen on June 28, 2004, 05:52:05 PM
Usually when my ClamAV scan finds and removes infected files until now......

I have had these viruses come up on two consecutive scans.  How do I remove them.  Can I simply go to the file and delete the file.

Here are my results:

//var/spool/squid/00/00/00000016: Trojan.Downloader.Dyfuca.BQ FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/00/00000017: Trojan.Downloader.Dyfuca.BW FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/00/00000018: Trojan.Clicker.Delf.R FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/00/0000001F: Trojan.Dyfuca-4 FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/1D/00001D2E: Trojan.Revop.C FOUND
//var/spool/squid/00/24/00002420: Trojan.Revop.C FOUND

Can I simply delete the 00000016 file and so on?

Yes, they're merely in the Squid cache so no harm will be done by deleting them.  There's a rash of these around at the moment, so you'll need to do it fairly regularly.  Personally, I never bother as they are harmless to the SME.
