Title: DHCP negociations...

Hi,

This is further info of the 'weird disk activity' post.  I have tracked down the problem that it is the DHCP service which writes new entries to the messages log about every second.

My SME box is connected to a ADSL modem which provides DHCP to the internet NIC of the SME.  There is no logon to the modem or PPoE, the internet is available to any computer which connects to the modem.

Using the SME box as gateway connecvted to the ADSL modem works flawlessly too, despite the DHCP log entries, but it is very annoying to listen to the disk writes every second....

Apparently either the ADSL modem or the SME box cannot agree on some aspect of the DHCP negociation.  Below is an excerpt of the message log.  How do I fix this DHCP problem or, if it cannot be fixed, how do I disable saving of DHCP log entries?

Hi again,

Doesn't anybody know how to disable log entries from the DHCP service to the messages log file...?
