Title: Resize Partition
Post by: sme1001 on July 06, 2004, 02:25:37 PM
Hi!
I want to make a partition smaller. I use OS-Selector for resizing. The Partition is now smaller, but i can't boot the server. The message is only a 'L'. I must execute the 'Lilo'-Command, but i don't know how without a bootable system.

What should i do? Boot from Install-CD or Floppy?

Can anybody explain the way?

Thx.Jo!

Ohh, ohh, i've solved my problem.
Resize with OS-Selector is very easy.
Now, you can't boot the system.
Download the 1st CD of Redhat Valhalla 7.3.
Boot in the Rescue-Menue.
Mount your system in 'chroot /mnt/sysimage'
Now type 'lilo'.

That's all.
