I work for a small charity that has a small network with a few Windows 98SE machines, all of which join the domain of the SME server, so few drives can been mapped at start up, etc.
I have now been given a new windows 2000 machine, but whenever I try to get it to join the domain I get the message 'The network path was not found.' Does anyone has any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? If I go through the Network Identification wizzard it tells me that my domain does not exists.
I am not very skilled in windows matters and certainly not in this kind of networking stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Kees Vonk

I hate replying to my own queries, but I have solved the problem, I had a firewall (ZoneAlarm) installed and the network adapter zone was set to 'Internet' instead of 'Trusted'. I changed this and now it works.
