Title: IRC and other delights
Post by: Darren on September 02, 2001, 11:11:30 PM
Hello,

Anyone got a clue about the configuration I need to make so I can run IRC (e,g x-chat) through e-smith.  Whenever I try to connect I'm getting messages regarding squid time-outs.  I take it that the proxy side of things needs some work.

Any ideas ?

Cheersin advance for any help.....

Hi Darren,

To get IRC (x-chat or whatever) runing via your e-smith box. All you need to do is point the default gateway of your irc box (be it linux or windows etc) at your e-smith box. No need for sock (proxy) etc.
