Title: asp for linux

hi,

currently we have redesigned our company web pages. the deisgner deisgn our web pages in active server pages.

we host our webpages.

we currently just installed the E-Smith and we are not familiar with that whether are we able to host the new webpages with webpages designed in active server pages ?

According to me, basicly you can only use PHP with e-smith.
But maybe you can take a look at this www.asplinux.com

And perl, if you are talking "out of the box".

Um, a "you've successfully installed Apache" website? Looks like the owner of this site needs to do a little configuration work still :-)

ASP is available for Linux. You'll have to obtain and install the ASP package, and may have to do some confguration work. Post your question in the Experienced User forum, you'll probably get better answers.

Hi,

I really don't understand all this fuzz about asplinux.com (what is it anyway beside an apache page?)

Go here : http://www.nodeworks.com/asp/

and download the module they refer to. I downloaded it, read the instructions and placed the .PM in the map they mention and I have an OUT-OF-THE-BOX ASP service. I did this all last night between some phone-calls and had no time to figure out how to make apache aware that .asp files are NOT files for download (sometimes happened to me) and I also didn't find a way that the .asp is added to the default list of extensions but I guess that shouldn't be too hard.
