Title: ibays, remove the .html and cgi-bin folders
Post by: jerryyap on July 19, 2004, 07:01:08 PM
Hi, I want to create Ibays as shared network drives without the need for cgi-hins and html folders.

I remember seeing contrlbs on this topic.

uncheck executable content in the ibay properties (manager panel) and you achieve what you want - the ibay   appears as a shared drive contained within the "files" folder (the other folders remain but are not visible to users)
Title: ibays still show cgi-bin and html folders

I am using v6.0.1. Even when I uncheck the box for executable content in ibay properties, my users still see the cgi-bin and html folders.

Any way to get rid of these since I'm only using the server as a local file server?

Thank you.

Its not just executable checkmark, but webaccess needs to be disabled (default).

Hi Boris,

Thanks for reply. My server is SME 6.0.1-01, fresh install.

User access via file sharing: Write=group, Read =group
Public access via web or an... ftp: Local network, password required.
Execution of dynamic content: Disabled.

I still see the cgi-bin and html folders. Pls advise.

Regards,
Jerry

No success. Still can see the folders.

Does anyone remember seeing a contrib on this?

I've done searches, but to no avail.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Regards,
Jerry

Hi,

It usually takes a while for WinXX machines to catch up. A reboot will generally sort things out.
