Yes, you can do both. Darrel May has written a HOWTO for the e-mail part which can be found here: http://netsourced.com/servers/docs/vdomain-alias-howto.html

Hello,

I have a question about setting up e-mail for virtual domain

If i have a domains called domain1.com and domain2.com
can I have 2 users called fred have seperate email boxes ?

example:
user fred in domain1 goes to fred@domain1.com.
user fred in domain2 goes to fred@domain2.com.

can this be done?

Thanks

No, this is not possible on the e-smith system, at least not as it ships (it would badly break things for file sharing, for one).  Darrell's howto is the closest thing available at the moment.

Is it possible to receive mail from different domain to one account.
My local domain is named cit.be
Sample :
I have two users :
alpha1@cit.be
alpha2@cit.be
And to POP3 server where a get mail for
alpha1@domain1.com
alpha2@domain1.com
alpha1@domain2.com
alpha2@domain2.com
How can I configure my file to forward mail for alpha1 to alpha1 and mail for alpha2 to alpha2.
I've try to use Virtual domain, But I've some trouble when I set a virtual domain.
E-Smith make also other hostname mail.domain1.com smtp.domain1.com that there are the self of my real ISP.
Thanks a Lot

I am interested in Darrel's solution, but I can't find the document at http://netsourced.com.  Will someone please either post the document or e-mail it to me?  Thanks, rob@shiras.net
