Title: Restored from backup now cannot access server-manager
Post by: edb on July 28, 2004, 01:35:51 AM
Anyone know why after a restore from desktop backup I cannot access the server-manager console through the browser. The error states "You are not authorized to view this page" and if I also try the text mode I get the same error to do with permissions.
I can however access the server with WinSCP no problem.

Any ideas would be apreciated. Thanks

I would be having a look at the permissions/ownership in /home/e-smith/files/ibays
Compare the permissions of the Primary ibay to the other ibays. You could also try /sbin/e-smith/signal-event ibay-modify Primary

Try running the commadn service httpd-admin restart
to make sure that the server is running.
contrary to the previouse post, the server-manager
is located at /etc/e-smith/web/ Also try accessing
the server-manager using https://yourdomain.com/server-manager
or try https://your.ip.add.dress/server-manager.

This should put you in the right direction.

In agreement with the previouse post, be sure to check
the permisions of the /etc/e-smith/web directory
and subdirectories to insure that they are set
correctly.
