I was sure I saw a howto somewhere in the site for this but can't seem to find it now. How can I create a goup policy for an entire domain? I was thinking the way to do this would be to create the policy on a winxp or 2000 server box then move the policy over to the sme box.
Where would I put the policy to affect the entire domain? How can I also make policies for individual machines inside and outside of the domain policy?
Should I just read the samba documentation on this and if so, where do I put the policy on the sme server? Redundant.
Thanks for any help,
Jon

Ok, I think what I am looking for is the poledit.exe from NTServer4.0, is this correct? I have not upgraded my samba on my SME server it still has the same version as on the 6.0.1 disc. My next question is can I use the gpedit.msc from a winXP box to create the policies for my samba PDC? And I also think that the .pol should be placed in the netlogon folder, right?
Thanks again,
Jon

Well alright, I have now got myself confused. Will the poledt.exe from WinNT server work for WinXP machines or should I use the gpedit.msc from WindowsXP Pro to make my group policies? Is there a way to make domain policies or would it basically be a domain policy if I have it set in the netlogon of my sme server?
Any help is most appreciated,
Jon
