have everyone tried a video jukebox thing that run on SME ? like a netjuke thing but netjike only cater mp3 not videos :) thanks...

I know this may not be relevant, but I've connected my XBOX running XBOX Media Center to my SME server through samba. I just told the XBOX what the domain name was, created a user on the SME server and also created an iBay for videos, pictures and music etc.
Works pretty well on my setup using a 100MBit lan, Athlon 750 in the server and 60GB hard disk.

thanks for the info :-D , is there any other else have an idea, i just want to put the video files to my SME and i want the user to view it on streaming mode, i dont want it to be copied in there local machines, sort of a streaming server but user can select what they want on the http page, like a launch.com site :-P

Maybee http://www.videolan.org is the thing for you ?

have anyone tried video lan ? i surf there site but found out there is no specific package 4 SME, do the videolan for redhat works for SME ?

SME is based in RedHat 7.x.
