Forgive me if this already exists, and if so please point me to it, but my concern grows that there hasnt been a significant update to 6.0.1-01 yet.
I would like to contribute to SME, and have been thinking this is the way. If we had a vulnerability Forum where people can post potential vulnerabilities, IE SSH verson x.x used in SME has this vulnerability, then others, could use that information to download the patch, compile the rpm and post it back up as an update. My biggest hangup isnt that I cant create a patch, it is that I dont know which patches to create most of the time. It seems by dumb luck that I find them. While I dont want to assume the responsibility to build all of the patches, I would be happy to build and test some, and I am sure that there are others who feel the same way. We just need a location to define the patches needed.
:hammer: Let's get busy keeping SME alive and safe!

Hi,
an open forum on this topic *may* encourage people to really 'test' it. Please mail staff@contribs.org to apply for a job within the security team, that would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
