Must be stupid question, but I'll ask it anywhay.
I have a domain hosted at Zoneedit, could I bring this domain over to my own server?
The answer will probebly be yes, but I need two DNS-servername instead of the ones of Zoneedit.
How do I do this, the one DNS-adress of my server is an internal IP-adress.
I didn't find any Howto's about this or I'm searching the wrong way.............

Do you have the web pages at zoneedit, or are they the name server and the web pages are on your server?
I understand that running a name server can be a hassle, so I let another company do that for me, and I just host the web sites.
But as for your question about needing two name servers, that is the safest way to go. You can be the primary name server, but you should find someone else to act as a back up name server.
I am assuming that you have a static ip, if not, I dont beleive you can be a name server.

Zoneedit is the name server and the webpages are on my ISP's server. I have allready one domain wich is redirected to my IP-adres on my own server, I'd like to bring my other domainname over also.

This is no problem. In server-manager set up an ibay, then add a domain and point it to the ibay.
Go to the hosts catagory and make it global.
Then go to zoneedit and point the domain to your ip. It is really that easy.
There is a name server ( tinydns) that is part of SME. It will be configured using the above steps

So I can't actually run my own DNS-server(s)?
M
aybe there is another way, because I would like to end with Zoneedit.
The organization I registered my domain with has several options:
- NS Delegation (two nameservers, no IP-addresses).
- MX Record and/or Wildcard MX records (only hostname is accepted, no IP-addresses).
- Address Record (the IP-adres to where the registration most point).
- CNAME Record (only hostname is accepted, no IP-addresses).
(I hope I translated it correct)
Can I do anything with this?
-
Yes, it looks like who you are registered with can handle what you need. If you would care to tell me who it is, I will take a look.
If you are going to have multiple domains on your server, you may want to check out dungog.net. They have a virtual email add on that will let you have usera@domain1.com and usera@domain2.com. They will have to have different user names on the server, but this addon lets you point the email address to the actual users address.

Thanks, I'll check out Dungog.net
I have registred my domain at http://www.nl.eu.org/
This is a free domainsite, only it's as far as I could see in dutch. It's a subsite of http://www.eu.org, which is in English. I think I found what you're looking for at http://www.eu.org/rrtypes.html

If you can set an "A" record, that will let you point your name to your ip. Then you can use the CNAME to take care of the alias part. You should set up an alias that refers to mail.yourdomain.com. I would not hurt ot set up smtp, and pop as well.
The second web address you sent me to does not refer to "A" records. I hope your registrar has them available.
Good luck
