Title: Can't delete user on SME 6.01 custom
Post by: sgt-spam on August 13, 2004, 05:34:46 PM
Hold on a sec - I've done my searches and followed the suggestions.  Still having trouble.

Here's the deal.  Server issues after loading SpamAssassin and attempting file attachment filtering resulted in a clean load, porting over user accounts with Lazy Admin Toolkit, etc.

Box is back up and running fine (minus SA) with the exception of one user.

I'm unable to delete the account using '/sbin/e-smith/db accounts delete username' (naturally I'm putting the user's name in there).  I'm also unable to add / delete the user with LATK.

/etc/passwd and /home/e-smith/accounts show no sign of the user or his psuedonyms.

I can create other accounts just fine - just not his.  Any direction would be GREATLY appreciated, as his mail is currently bouncing...  :-(

Thanks.

Resolved:

The user did not exist on the system anywhere EXCEPT one place /etc/group

After removing his entry, I was able to re-add him and everything seems to be fine.

Thanks to all that helped.
