Title: PPTP Connection From Windows XP

Is anyone supporting PPTP connections to the server from Win XP? I have been doing this for several months, now, and everything works well when the client is Win 98 or Win XP Home Edition.

However, I have a new client running Win XP Professional and the standard connection definition no longer works. I don't know if it's a problem with the client definition or the something else I need to do on the server. I have port 1723 open for the PPTP connection.

I have now discovered that pptpd is automatically picking the top three IP addresses from my DHCP range to use as remote IPs. Any idea why, and what I have to do to convince it to use the connecting remote IP address?
