Title: SME as gateway - want to pass an internal web site
Post by: sgt-spam on August 17, 2004, 02:28:13 PM
I've been trying to adapt the template found here (http://ftp://funkylinux.com/pub/e-smith/HOWTO-outlook_web_access) to fit my needs (wants).

Basically, I have several devices on my LAN that have interal web servers, and I thought it would be cool to configure the SME to pass those sites via a directory or link on the SME's site.

Example would be my TiVo.  It would be great if I could hit domain.com/tivo and see my TiVoWeb setup.

I was able to get to the point of mapping individual directories, but images and some links don't come through.  Plus, I'd rather not have to manage a template fragment full of directory mappings.

Is there a better way to hit a directory / ibay on the SME and have it point to the internal device's web page?

I'd consider doing the same with my WAP, JetDirects, etc.  If it could be password protected, it might make a nice way to collect web consoles, etc.

The link above was the only thing relevant I could come up with searching...
