I have seen a few messages in here about the Dell PE400SC servers. I'm courious if anyone here has actually installed on one recently with any sucess or headaches.
I was also looking at the IBM x206 but the SATA looks like it will cause more of a headache.

I have several PE400SC servers running.
I'm using them as SME and IPCOP servers.
(not using the SATA interface on SME or IPCOP)
I also have several setup as servers running windows 2003.
They've had no problems so far.

I have installed half of dozen of them this summer. Two for myself. Use IDE (not SATA). Zero problems. I recommend to my friends and clients to use them as workstations as well. Nice, stable, quiet and fast system.

I run 6 PE400 with SME 6.01-01...no probs. If your going to use 5.6, there is an rpm to allow sme5.6 to recognize the 1000mb onboard nic.
