Title: Printing problems

Hi all,

I have a HP Deskjet 840c connected to the SME 6.01-01 and use it as a networkprinter for 3 WinXP and 1 Win2000 clients.

The 3 WinXP clients print perfectly but I can't get the Win2000 client to print on the networkprinter.

When I install the printer on the Win2000 client, everything seems to be okay. I can select the printer and add it to the configuration, but when I want to print something from Winword I get errormessages and Winword closes.

So I try to install it as a local printer, assigning a port to it. Win2000 recognises the printer, but the printer simply won't print.

What could be wrong??

Hi all,

I solved the problem by adding a "local printer" connected on a "local port" with name "//servername/printername".
