Title: httpd dies all the time
Post by: boff on August 24, 2004, 07:45:32 PM
Hi All,
On a few servers that I look after I find that the http daemon dies a lot.
I'll get a phone call along the lines of 'Webmail is bust again grrrr...'.
I'll ssh in, type '/etc/init.d/httpd restart' and they're running again. (The server says Shutting down HTTPD (FAILED), Starting up HTTPD (SUCCESS)
How can I check it's running every five minutes and start it up if it's died.

Thanks in advance,
Julian Luton
