Hi All,

Ok got SME running.

Set up account at yi.org.

Set up configuration with yi password

1) How do I know that it is running.

2) How do I set up the website on SME. I have dropped an index on top of the originally created on and can access the websit internally.

3) Port 80 appears to be closed from the net do I need to open it or does SME somehow do that for you if you are running a website.

Martin

Is it blocked by your ISP?

I do not think that the ISP is blocking me. I have had a websit on my old Redhat server.

Hi Martin
Yes all you need to do is copy your index over the one in the primary ibay. There is a portscan contrib which I always install then you can check port 80 is open using the server manager panel.
At a command line ifconfig will give you the internet ip and ps -aux will show running processes so that you can check squid and http are running.
Alt F2 gets you a command line on the SME or you can putty from a n/w PC and login as root.
Some ISPs block port 80
Good luck
Brian
